Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory, which states that today i.e. Tuesday, no vehicle will be allowed to stop or park anywhere on Tughlaq Road, Safdarjung Road and Kamal Ataturk Marg. Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had said that it would gherao the Prime Minister's residence on March 26 to register its protest against the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Delhi Politics: Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory, which states that today i.e. Tuesday, no vehicle will be allowed to stop or park anywhere on Tughlaq Road, Safdarjung Road and Kamal Ataturk Marg. According to the advisory, traffic will be affected in New Delhi area on Tuesday due to special law and order. It said, “To ensure smooth traffic management in New Delhi area, no vehicle will be allowed to stop or park anywhere on Tughlaq Road, Safdarjung Road and Kamal Ataturk Marg. General entry of people will not be allowed, vehicles parked on the above roads will be removed and prosecution will be initiated for improper parking and disobedience of legal instructions.

Traffic will be diverted through these routes

The advisory said that if necessary, traffic will be diverted from Aurobindo Chowk, Tughlaq Road, Samrat Hotel Roundabout, Gymkhana Post Office Roundabout, Teen Murti Haifa Roundabout, Niti Marg Roundabout and Kautilya Marg Roundabout. Police requested that commuters avoid going to Kamal Ataturk Marg, Safdarjung Road, Akbar Road and Teen Murti Marg. ED had arrested Kejriwal on Thursday last week in a money laundering case related to excise policy. He is in the agency's custody till March 28.
