A bus going from Indore in Madhya Pradesh to Jodhpur in Rajasthan crashed near Javra tehsil of Ratlam district, in which an innocent child died and 41 passengers were injured. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital.
According to the information, the tourist bus RJ09 PA 5693 of Ashok Travels Mandsaur in front of Chanda Dhaba in village Richha near Dhodhar in Javra tehsil of Ratlam district overturned uncontrollably on Monday at 4:00 am. One child died in the accident, while 41 passengers on board the bus are reported to be critical. All the injured have been admitted to the Government Hospital in Javana. Six people seriously injured in the accident have been referred to Ratlam District Hospital.
The reason for the accident is that the bus was overloaded with more luggage. The bus left for Indore to Jodhpur on Sunday night. During this, she overturned uncontrollably on the Rupnagar fence near Dhodhar.
According to the people present on the spot, 20 laborers had boarded the bus to go from Ujjain to Jodhpur. As soon as the information of the accident was received, Javra SDM Himanshu Prajapati, Javra Nagar police station in-charge VD Joshi, SI Jagdish Kumawat from Dhodhar police station reached the spot and started the rescue work. The people present took the injured out of the bus and took them to the hospital.
Passengers aboard the bus told that the bus driver ate food at a dhaba near Javra. From where the bus left for Jodhpur, the bus overturned after hitting a big tree while hitting the vehicles parked near the dhaba at Rupnagar Fante near Dhodhar. The speed of the bus at the time of the accident was between 100 and 120 kms. Most of the passengers were sleeping when the bus overturned. After the accident, there was a stir among the passengers. A crane was called on the spot to straighten the bus.
