Jaipur Road Accident / A truck loaded with CNG exploded in Rajasthan, vehicles caught fire, 30 people burnt

A horrific accident took place on Jaipur's Ajmer Highway on Friday morning. A chemical tanker collided with a truck in front of Delhi Public School and the tanker exploded. The fire engulfed 20 vehicles and a sleeper bus. 5 people died and 39 were injured in the accident.

Jaipur Road Accident: A terrible road accident took place on Ajmer Highway in Jaipur on Friday morning, which created a sensation in the area. In the accident, a chemical tanker and a truck collided fiercely in front of Delhi Public School, causing the tanker to explode. Due to the explosion, the chemical spread all around and fierce flames of fire started rising.

More than 20 vehicles engulfed in fire

This accident engulfed more than 20 vehicles standing and passing on the highway. The fire was so terrible that people in many vehicles did not even get a chance to get out. 4 people were burnt alive in the accident, while more than 30 people were scorched. A sleeper bus running behind the tanker also got engulfed in flames.

Pipe factory also caught fire

A pipe factory located on the side of the highway also came under the grip of the accident. Flames and thick smoke spread all around, which hindered relief and rescue operations. The injured were immediately admitted to Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur.

Difficulties in rescue operation

As soon as the blast and fire were reported, more than 30 vehicles of the fire department and ambulance reached the spot. Due to the spread of gas and chemicals, there were a lot of problems in the relief work. Police, firemen and local people together engaged in evacuating the trapped people.

Chief Minister took stock of the situation

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed deep concern over this accident and reached SMS Hospital and inquired about the condition of the injured. He obtained information about the treatment of the injured from the doctors and instructed the officials to speed up the relief work.

How did the accident happen?

According to the information, the chemical tanker was coming from Ajmer to Jaipur and was taking a U-turn in front of Delhi Public School. At the same time, a speeding truck coming from Jaipur collided with the tanker. The collision was so strong that the chemical filled in the tanker spread 200 to 300 meters away. Wherever the chemical fell, fire broke out.

Several blasts happened one by one

According to eyewitnesses, after the collision between the tanker and the truck, there was a massive blast in the CNG truck. After this, there were several blasts one after the other, due to which the nearby vehicles also caught fire.

Bus passengers saved their lives

A sleeper bus also caught fire in the accident. The passengers in the bus somehow got out and saved their lives. The people burnt by the fire were immediately rushed to the hospital. So far 39 people have been admitted to SMS Hospital.

Highway closed, traffic affected

Due to the blast and fire, Ajmer Highway has been completely closed. The police have cordoned off the area and appealed to the people to use alternative routes. The fire department and the police are engaged in controlling the fire and normalizing the situation.
