10 Digit Number: TRAI i.e. Telecom Regulatory Authority has taken a very big decision. With this decision of TRAI, telemarketing companies are going to get a big blow. According to a report, TRAI is now going to crack down against those promotional messages which send calls or messages to mobile users without their consent. TRAI has made it clear to telecom companies that they should not use unregistered numbers for promotion. Now TRAI has taken a tough stand on this.Let us tell you that for telemarketing companies are given a special number which is slightly different from the normal number. Telecom companies get special numbers for promotional calls so that mobile users can understand the difference between normal calls and promotional calls. However, ignoring the rules, many companies are calling mobile users only from the normal 10 digit number.TRAI took strict stepsTRAI has now become strict against this step of harassing mobile users with forceful calls or messages. An order has been issued by TRAI that telemarketing companies should discontinue normal 10 digit numbers for promotional calls or messages within 30 days. Despite this, if someone uses the normal number for promotional calls, then strict action will be taken.Number will be closed within 30 daysTRAI has given notice to all the telecom companies and within 30 days instructions have been given to stop the unregistered numbers being used for promotional calls. If you use any normal number for promotion, then stop doing so immediately, otherwise strict action can be taken against you.
