WhatsApp is constantly working on its new features. The app is now working on its new feature, which will give users the ability to update the status on desktop beta. Very soon WhatsApp is going to crate a new menu in the status section, which will make the reporting process easier. People will be able to report on the status from the report section inside the menu. That is, on the status which will violate the rules. WhatsApp will take action after the report.

If users spot any suspicious status update that may violate the Terms of Service, they will be able to report it to the moderation team with the new option. Similar to reporting messages, status updates will be forwarded to the company for moderation reasons so they can see if a violation has occurred. However, this feature does not break end-to-end encryption.

No one, not even WhatsApp and Meta, can see the content of users' messages and listen to their private calls, but it is important for the company to introduce a report option to keep the platform and users safe. The report states that the capability to report status updates is under development and will be released in a future update of WhatsApp Desktop Beta.

Meanwhile, last month, the messaging platform rolled out a new feature for some beta testers that allows users to view profile photos inside group chats on desktop.
