BCCI vs PCB: Pakistan Cricket Board has seen 4 new presidents in the last two and a half-three years and everyone has emphatically claimed that they will not bow down to the Indian Board of Control for Cricket. Made claims of pressurizing Team India to invite Pakistan for big tournaments to be held in their country. Its reality was visible in the Asia Cup 2023 and now in next year's Champions Trophy too, all its tricks seem to be falling loose because the International Board of Control for Cricket itself has clearly refused to interfere in this matter.

Pakistan will host the ICC Champions Trophy in February-March 2025. There does not seem to be any problem in most of the teams reaching this tournament with only 8 teams, but most of the eyes are on India's participation. Will Team India go to Pakistan for this tournament, where it has not gone for the last 17 years due to terrorist incidents and relations between the two countries? Last year, Pakistan also had the hosting rights of Asia Cup and even then Team India did not go to Pakistan.

ICC gave a shock to Pakistan

News agency PTI quoted an ICC official as saying that no decision has been taken yet on this issue but also made it clear that they cannot force the Board of Control for Cricket in India to go against the policies of their government. These days a meeting of the ICC Executive Board is being held in Dubai, in which it came out that the decision on the Indian team going to Pakistan will be taken around the tournament itself.

It has been told in the report that this member of the ICC Board made it clear that if the government of any member country refuses to play at any place, then ICC will have to find an alternative for it. It was also said that ICC believes that no member board will go against the decision of the government of its country. That is, it is clear that in such a situation even ICC cannot force the Indian board to go to Pakistan and play. In such a situation, to whom will Pakistan complain now?

Will the tournament be held on hybrid model?

If there is no change in the policy of the Government of India even by the end of this year, then ICC will have to find another option, which is hybrid model. Under this, Asia Cup was organized last year, in which India played all its matches in Sri Lanka. Since there are 2 different groups in the Champions Trophy, the Indian team can play all its group matches and then the knockout matches in UAE, which has 3 famous stadiums namely Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.
