Oman | Many countries including Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Iran used strong words expressing their objection to the statements of the BJP spokesperson regarding Prophet Mohammad. After this, the BJP expelled Nupur Sharma and Delhi media in-charge Naveen Kumar Jindal from the party. This controversial statement was given by Nupur Sharma several days ago, but in the last two to three days, there was tremendous objection in Arab countries about it.

In fact, after the remarks of BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, a trend started against the BJP in Arab countries and a campaign was launched against the boycott of Indian goods. The credit for starting this campaign goes to the Grand Mufti of Oman. Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili, Grand Mufti of Oman, was the first among Arab countries to launch this campaign by tweeting against the BJP. He wrote that BJP has made obscene remarks against Prophet Mohammad.

Who is the Grand Mufti of Oman

Oman's Grand Mufti Ahmed Al Khalili is 79 years old. He keeps on voicing his opinion on Islamic issues. He congratulated the Taliban on taking over the rule of Afghanistan and called it a victory. He has also demanded from the government to ban alcohol in Oman. Not only this, the Grand Mufti is considered a supporter of Pakistan. He has also received Pakistan's highest civilian award, the Nishan-e-Pakistan.

Regarding the statement of BJP spokesperson, Grand Mufti of Oman said that this is a matter against which all Muslims should rise as one nation. After the statement of Al Khalili, there was opposition from India in Arab countries. After this the BJP gave its explanation and expelled the leaders.

Let us tell you that this whole matter started when Nupur Sharma, who was a BJP leader a few days ago, took part in a panel of a private TV channel. In which the controversy regarding Gyanvapi Masjid was being discussed. During this, when Nupur Sharma spoke, she said something in it from where this whole controversy started. He was accused of making objectionable remarks on Prophet Muhammad.
