World Cup Final: 19 November, Sunday. Hardly any Indian will ever be able to remove this day and this date from his mind. This was the day when the wishes and hopes of crores of Indian people were dashed. The Indian cricket team lost to Australia by 6 wickets in the World Cup final match. Politics has started over this defeat at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. First Sanjay Raut and now former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav have given a big statement on this in a sarcastic tone.

Addressing a program organized during the PDA Cycle Yatra in Etawah, Akhilesh Yadav said that if the match played between India and Australia had been played in Lucknow instead of Gujarat, Team India would have won in any case. The Indian team would have received the blessings of Lord Vishnu and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

‘If the match had been held in Lucknow, Team India would have won’

Akhilesh Yadav also took a dig at the name of the stadium. He said that earlier the name of Lucknow's stadium was Ekana, which is the name of Lord Vishnu, after which BJP named it after Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In such a situation, if the final match had been held in the stadium of Lucknow, then the blessings of Atal Bihari Vajpayee along with Lord Vishnu would have been received and India would have won the final match. Now it is being heard that there was something wrong with the pitch there.

'BJP is doing politics in sports'

Apart from this, Akhilesh also vented out his anger on social media. He raised questions on not inviting former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev to the final match. On Twitter He said that Kapil Dev had won the first World Cup for India, he is the idol of the country, but not calling him in the final match is an insult to him, due to which every sports lover is sad. In his post, Akhilesh accused BJP of doing politics in sports and called it condemnable.

Sanjay Raut also raised questions

Let us tell you that earlier, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) MP Sanjay Raut had also expressed his displeasure over the final match being held in Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He had said that the file match should have been held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. If this had happened then Team India would have won the match. He had alleged that this time the political lobby of a state has entered cricket. He called the match not India vs Australia but BJP vs Australia. Along with this, he also attacked BJP for not inviting former captain Kapil Dev.
