Ghaziabad : A case of alleged attempt to rape by Nandoi with a married woman living in Nandgram police station area of Ghaziabad has come to light. It is alleged that the in-laws beat her up and threatened to kill her if her demand for dowry was not met and the indebted husband went to his house without informing her. Due to this, the borrowers are asking for back the amount borrowed from him.On the basis of the Tahrir given by the victim, the police has registered a report against six people including husband and Nandoi under relevant sections and is investigating and taking further action.A married woman living in Nandgram police station area told that she was married 11 years ago with a youth resident of Mathura. He has four children. Out of this, two sons live with him. The woman told that the husband has taken a loan from many people, to repay which the in-laws are pressurizing him to bring two lakh rupees from the maternal home as dowry.If the demand is not met, they beat her up and threaten to kill her. The married woman alleges that Nandoi keeps a wrong eye on her and tried to rape her one day. The husband and his nephew also supported him in this act. Police said that on the basis of the given Tahrir, a report has been registered against the six named accused. It also includes two women. Action is being taken after investigation.
