Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot on Monday flagged off 100 low-floor air-conditioned CNG and a prototype electric bus. These buses launched under the cluster scheme are equipped with modern facilities like panic button and GPS. After the arrival of these buses, now there are seven thousand buses in the fleet of Delhi Transport.Full attention to safetyWhile flagging off these buses, Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that these buses have been started under the cluster scheme of the Delhi government. The security arrangements in these buses have been taken care of. Buses also have GPS with panic button. These buses are also extremely handicapped friendly.Efforts to bring 300 electric busesEarlier in January, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had flagged off 100 low-floor air-conditioned CNG buses and a prototype electric bus from the Rajghat depot. At that time, Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot had said that the government was trying to bring 300 electric buses by April.
