India / 184 new COVID-19 cases in Maha Police take total count to 19,074

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra Police has reached 19,074 after 184 personnel tested positive for the virus, as per an official statement. Furthermore, with four new fatalities, the death count in the state force has reached 190. As many as 15,156 personnel have recovered so far, including 13,565 policemen and 1,591 officers.

Mumbai: Over 180 personnel of the Maharashtra police tested positive for coronavirus, while five died of the infection in the last 24 hours, an official said on Sunday.

The latest casualties have taken the death toll in the police force to 190 the official said.

With 4 deaths, Mumbai police had recorded the new fatalities the force due to the pandemic, he added.

At least 184 personnel tested positive for coronavirus infection the last 24 hours, rising the tally in the department to 19,074, the official said.

Of the 19,074 personnel, including 1,591 officers, 15,156 have recovered from the disease so far, he said.

Currently, 3728 personnel are undergoing treatment at various facilities in the state, the official said.
