Bangladesh Violence: Two new murder cases have been registered against former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, taking the total number of cases against her to 94. According to media reports, these cases are related to the killings during student protests against the controversial quota system in government jobs.

The first case relates to the killing of a man during a protest in Dhaka on July 19. The deceased's wife filed a case in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Afnan Sumi. Former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and several Awami League leaders are accused in this. The deceased's wife alleged that her husband was murdered in front of the Bangladesh Television building.

The second case is related to the death of a student in Jatrabari area. The student's mother alleged that her son was shot after participating in the reservation reform movement. The incident took place on August 5, and the student was declared dead at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. A complaint has been filed against Hasina, former law minister Shafiq Ahmed, and 293 others in the case.

Who filed the case?

According to the report of the 'Daily Star' newspaper, a case was filed against Hasina and 26 others on Wednesday for the murder of a Dhaka resident during the protest on July 19. The deceased's wife filed a case in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Afnan Sumi, who asked the 'Police Bureau of Investigation' to submit a report after investigation. Former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and several leaders and activists of the Awami League and its leading organizations are accused in the case. The deceased's wife has alleged in her complaint that her husband was shot dead in front of the Bangladesh Television building on July 19.

Student death case

Another case has been filed against Hasina, former law minister Shafiq Ahmed, former attorney general AM Amin Uddin, Supreme Court lawyer Tania Amir and 293 others in connection with the death of a student in Jatrabari area. The mother of the deceased student lodged a case at the Jatrabari police station on Sunday. The complainant in the case alleged that her son had participated in the reservation reform movement on August 5 and was shot when he was crossing the Jatrabari police station at around 9 am. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
