Operation Kaveri: The government is engaged in bringing the Indian citizens trapped in Sudan to a safe country on a war footing. Today, a plane carrying 360 Indians landed in the capital Delhi under Mission Kaveri. All Indians stranded in Sudan are being brought to Saudi Arabian city Jeddah first by sea. Today another batch of citizens will be brought to Mumbai by Indian Air Force aircraft. Air Force sources have informed that the IAF aircraft will land in Mumbai between 9 am to 10 am today.

Air space services have stopped since the violence in Sudan. In such a situation, the government had planned to bring Indian citizens from Sudan Port to Jeddah via INS Sumedha and then to India via plane. Indian Air Force's C-17 aircraft has taken off from Hindon Air Base today.

INS Teg deployed, Tarkash will also accompany

Navy sources have told that apart from INS Sumedha, the Navy has also deployed INS Teg, so that more Indian citizens can be brought to Jeddah as soon as possible. INS Sumedha has already evacuated 278 Indians from there to Jeddah. It is being said that INS Tarkash is also ready to participate in Operation Kaveri. It will be used as per the need.

So far more than 500 civilians have been evacuated

Let us tell you that under Operation Sudan, the Indian Air Force and Navy together have evacuated more than 500 civilians from there. Citizens will start reaching India from tomorrow. In this matter, the state governments have also announced to help the citizens. Several states including Kerala and Rajasthan have announced steps to help the citizens.
