The company is preparing to lay off 10,000 employees.

According to the report, Amazon has planned to fire 10,000 employees working in the corporate and IT departments this week. This retrenchment will be done only from its staff working in the world. In such a situation, the names of a large number of people working in India can also appear in this list. The number of employees working part time and full time in Amazon is around 16 lakhs. Employees had complained about this in the ministry

Now because the threat of retrenchment is looming large in India, the employees working here had complained about it to the Labor Ministry. After this, the Ministry has sent a notice to the Public Policy Manager of Amazon India and summoned it on 23 November i.e. today itself. In this notice signed by Deputy Chief Labor Commissioner A Anjanappa in Bengaluru, VSP document mail related to retrenchment has also been talked about, due to which there is an atmosphere of fear among the employees.

What is VSP document because of which employees are scared

Amazon had sent a mail to its employees recently. There was VSP document in it. As stated in the VSP document, you are informed that Amazon is implementing the Voluntary Separation Program (VSP). It is available temporarily to the concerned employees of AET Organization of the Company. Under this, the staff will have a chance to voluntarily resign from the job in lieu of the VSP benefits given below. The company has asked all employees to accept it. Time has been given till 6:30 am on November 30 to accept it.
