Know that in the eyes of the ED, information has been received about going to Malaysia from the passport of another friend of Partha Chatterjee. Inquiries are being made about why she had gone to Malaysia. ED is collecting his friend's passport, his photo and other documents. The ED is gathering information on whether traveling to Malaysia was just an excuse so that the money could be diverted to Malaysia.

Significantly, the ED had raided another apartment belonging to Arpita Mukherjee, a close aide of West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee, in Chinar Park area late on Thursday evening. The ED raided the flat of Arpita Mukherjee a day after it recovered around Rs 28 crore in cash. Arpita Mukherjee has been arrested by the ED in connection with the investigation of the school recruitment scam. Last week, the ED had seized unaccounted cash worth over Rs 21 crore from another flat in Kolkata.

The ED official said on Thursday, "This apartment belongs to Arpita Mukherjee and we suspect that like her other flats, there may be cash here too." We are talking to the neighbors and trying to know what kind of activities were done here.
