Municipal Corporation of Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. In which he said that let the elected government work for the people. In a letter to the Lieutenant Governor, Kejriwal said, the elected government is directly answerable to the people. Please let the elected government work for the people. Kejriwal said, the lieutenant governor is issuing direct orders on practically every subject whether it is reserved or transferred, whether he has the power to do so or not. The lieutenant governor issues directives directly to the chief secretary, who in turn enforces them in full, bypassing and bypassing the elected government. One would ask why the officers are implementing the illegal orders of the Lieutenant Governor? Because the Lt. Governor has complete control over the bureaucracy.

'No control over employees of Delhi's elected government'

Kejriwal wrote in his letter that the LG has the power to transfer, suspend or take any other action against any employee of the Delhi government. Unfortunately, the elected government of Delhi has no control over the employees. Therefore, the officers of the Delhi government do not have the courage to say no to the order of the Lieutenant Governor even if it is completely bizarre.

The Delhi Government came to know about the decision of the Lieutenant Governor from the newspapers.

Talking about the nominated councilors of the MCD, over which the clashes broke out on Friday, Kejriwal said, till date these 10 members were always nominated by the elected government of Delhi for the last several decades. This practice was also followed by the previous Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. However, the present Lieutenant Governor one morning, fixed 10 names and directed the Chief Secretary to issue a notification. The Chief Secretary complied. The CM claimed that the elected government came to know about it through newspapers. As per the constitution, the elected government has the power to nominate these members. This time, one morning the Lieutenant Governor named some BJP corporators and directed the Chief Secretary to issue a notification. Interestingly, the nominees are not the senior-most members. That's why the old tradition was also thrown into the air. However, the constitution gives the elected government the right to nominate the first presiding officer as it is a transferred subject.

'People like me and you are very small, this country is important'

Kejriwal said in his letter that Your Excellency, people like me and you are very small. This country is important. Our democracy, which we got after a long freedom struggle, is important. Let us all work together for the country and strengthen our democracy. 2 crore people of Delhi have elected this government to fulfill their dreams.
