Rajasthan Assembly Election: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had released the first list of candidates for Rajasthan Assembly elections. The party has now started trying to convince the party leaders who are angry over the deletion of names from this list. Party's state in-charge and national general secretary Arun Singh and other leaders are trying to convince such leaders and workers. Meanwhile, the car of party's declared candidate from Sanchore seat and MP Devji Patel was damaged by some people protesting against him in Sanchore on Wednesday.

Tickets of 8 leaders cut in the list of 41 candidates

It is noteworthy that BJP had released the first list of 41 candidates on Monday. After this, disappointed leaders and their supporters protested against the party on Tuesday after not getting party tickets in at least eight constituencies. Voting will be held on all 200 seats in the state on November 25 and counting of votes will take place on December 3. In Jaipur, supporters of former MLA Rajpal Singh Shekhawat demonstrated outside the party office and demanded ticket for him from Jhotwara seat.

Candidates changed on these seats

BJP has made MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore its candidate for Jhotwara seat. Similarly, dissatisfaction was also seen among the supporters of Narpat Singh Rajvi, the sitting MLA from Vidyadhar Nagar seat. Rajvi's name is not in this list and the party has fielded Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari from this seat. However, there was no direct reaction from Rajvi on this. While Rajvi, a five-time MLA, is the son-in-law of former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Dia Kumari is a member of the former royal family of Jaipur. Party sources said that Rajasthan party affairs in-charge Arun Singh met Narpat Singh Rajvi on Wednesday. He also telephoned some dissidents to pacify them. Rajvi's office also issued a statement on Wednesday clarifying that he had not given any statement to any newspaper or news channel. Rajvi's office said that meetings are being held to successfully organize the birth centenary of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.

Outsiders are calling Vijay Bainsla a party worker.

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathod was in Tonk on Wednesday where party workers met him and submitted a memorandum against declaring Vijay Bainsla as the party candidate from Deoli-Uniara seat. Vijay Bainsla is the son of Gurjar leader Kirori Singh Bainsla. Kirori Singh Bainsla also contested the 2009 Lok Sabha elections as a BJP candidate from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur, but he lost to Congress's Namo Narayan Meena by a small margin. Local party workers are calling Vijay Bainsla an outsider and are demanding change of candidate.

BJP formed 11-member committee

After the announcement of 41 names by the BJP, protests were held at several places on Tuesday, following which the party formed an 11-member committee headed by Union Minister Kailash Chaudhary to investigate the matter. Sources said the panel members met disgruntled workers and leaders today. After not getting tickets in the first list of party candidates, some leaders came out openly against the party's decision. These include Anita Singh in Nagar, Vikas Chaudhary in Kishangarh, Maman Singh Yadav in Tijara, Rajendra Gurjar in Deoli-Uniara.
