Building a house is going to be more expensive now. The common man had not yet recovered from the shock of the increased prices of cement, bars that now the prices of bricks are also going to catch fire. It is being told that after 15 days the price per thousand bricks will increase from 1500 to 2000 rupees. At present, bricks are available at the rate of Rs.6500 per thousand. In the coming days, between eight and nine thousand will be sold. The sudden increase in the price of brick is being considered as a big setback for the people.

Actually, the main reason for the increase in the price of brick is believed to be the increase in the cost of coal used in its manufacture. Most of the kiln owners use coal imported from America to cook the bricks. Two months ago the price of coal was Rs 15,000 per tonne. Now it is falling at Rs 25,000 per tonne. The quality of this coal coming from America is said to be better than the coal found in India. In comparison, the quality of coal coming from the states of Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal etc. of India is considered to be low.

New consignment of coal will come in 15 days

In the coming 15 days, new consignments of coal will reach the kilns with increased prices from America. This consignment will reach Gujarat first. After that, it will be supplied to the brick kilns of the area. It is being told that brick kilns work in two seasons in a year. Between 500 and 600 tonnes of good quality coal is consumed in a season.

Government should reduce the rate of imported coal

Kiln owners of the area Ravindra Gupta, Somnath Choudhary, Prakash Chand, Dilbagh Singh, Pankaj Kumar and Ashwini Kumar told that the sale is sure to come down when the price of brick reaches six and a half thousand to nine thousand. People will also have to bear the brunt of the increased coal prices. Brick Kiln Association President Pahu Lal Bhardwaj said that the government should take steps to reduce the cost of coal imported from abroad.

Prices of cement and bars also increased

About one and a half months ago, ACC Cement was selling at Rs 410 per bag, UltraTech and Ambuja Cement at Rs 412 per bag. Now ACC Cement is selling at Rs 422 per bag, UltraTech and Ambuja Cement is selling at Rs 424 per bag. One and a half months ago, the baria was Rs 5700 per quintal, which is now selling at Rs 6200 per quintal.
