The road was blocked on the Narkanda Thanadhar road in Shimla district on Wednesday afternoon due to an avalanche from the hill. A car passing through the road was hit by an avalanche, which reached a drain 100 meters below the road. No casualties have been reported in the accident. Three people with minor injuries have been discharged after providing first aid.According to information received from police station Kumarsain, police outpost Narkanda was informed that a heavy avalanche has occurred in Batal on Narkanda Thanadhar road at 1:30 pm on Wednesday. A car HP 06A 6203 came under the grip of this avalanche, which slipped in the snow and went down 100 meters into the drain. As soon as the information was received, the police team led by Kumarsain station in-charge reached the spot.Police rescued Chaman Lal (63), resident Bai, Tehsil Kumarsain, district Shimla, his daughter Sweety (35) and granddaughter Inaya (8) in the car safely from the spot and rushed to the hospital for treatment. All of them have suffered minor injuries in this accident and have been discharged after giving first aid.Confirming the matter, DSP Rampur Chandrashekhar Kayath said that a car went down the road due to the avalanche. Everyone is safe in this accident. He called upon the drivers to drive carefully in snowbound areas and be alert.
