New Delhi: Neeraj Chopra created history by winning the gold medal in Javelin Throw on Saturday. It was a significant moment for India as it is the first Track and Field event medal, ever for India. The world now knows about the gold medalist and his life on field, but does anybody know how Neeraj is off the field?

Legendary ex-cricketer Kapil Dev was in conversation with Neeraj on ABP News. Dev asked the 23-year old about the plans that Neeraj has for marriage. Chopra responded to this question with a shy smile but said that his 'entire focus is on sports'.

Kapil Dev was in the role of an anchor and he was interviewing the Olympic champion on ABP News. While interviewing, he asked about the 'pressure of getting married', to which Neeraj replied by saying:

"No I am focusing completely on sports. Rest all the things will go on, but I would want to keep my entire focus on sports right now."

Neeraj Chopra also revealed that he was a 'fat child' and his fitness was a cause of concern for the family and that's why they sent him to athletics training. He said that he had never thought of becoming a Javelin Throw champion.

"The time I went to the stadium, sports was never part of the plan, neither was playing for country & winning a medal. No one in my family or in my village is into sports. Later, I worked really hard & got great support from everyone," said Neeraj Chopra to ANI on Sunday.
