New Delhi. There has been a decline of 38 percent in the cases of Coronavirus infection in the country since May 1. But, in Tamil Nadu, Assam, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, there has been a rapid increase in the cases of corona infection during this period. According to official figures, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh has recorded 85 per cent decline in cases of infection between May 1 and May 31. On Monday, the number of active cases in the country is 20.26 lakhs, while on May 1, the number of active cases was 32.68 lakhs. There has been a decline of 38 percent in the total active cases of the country. On the other hand, 4.01 lakh new cases of infection were reported in India on May 1, which has registered a decline of 62 percent. On Monday, the number of new cases of infection stood at 1.52 lakh.Among the states and union territories, Delhi has also seen the largest decline in new cases of infection and active cases. On May 1, 27,047 cases of corona were reported in Delhi, while the active cases were 99,261. At the same time, 946 cases of corona came in the capital Delhi on Monday morning and the number of active cases has come down to 12,100.Uttar Pradesh has also seen a decrease in new corona cases and active cases. Uttar Pradesh has seen a decline of 94.57 percent in daily cases, while there has been a decline of 86.73 percent in the number of active cases. On May 1, the number of active cases in Uttar Pradesh was 3.10 lakh, while on Monday the number of active cases has increased to 41,214. With this, 34,372 new cases were registered in Uttar Pradesh on May 1, while the number of new cases was 1,864 on Monday.Maharashtra is one of the most affected states of the corona virus. The state has seen a drop of more than 50 per cent in active cases of corona. There were 6.64 lakh active cases in the state on May 1, which has come down to 2.74 lakh on Monday. In this way, the number of active cases in the state has seen a decline of 58.68 percent. Along with Maharashtra, Kerala, West Bengal and Karnataka have also seen a decline in the number of active cases.In contrast, the number of active case cases in Tamil Nadu and Assam has been doubled. The number of active cases in Tamil Nadu has gone up by 165.39 percent. The number of active cases in the state has gone up from 1.15 lakh to 3.05 lakh. On May 1, the new corona cases in the state were 18,692 cases, which increased to 28,864 on Friday.There were 3,197 cases of corona in Assam on May 1, while on Monday, an increase of 1.5 percent has been registered in the cases of infection in the state. Talking about the active case of Assam, the state has seen a jump of 113.7 percent. On May 1, there were 25,173 active cases in the state, while on May 31, the number of active cases in the state has increased to 53,795. The number of active cases in Tamil Nadu has gone up by 165.39 percent. The number of active cases in the state has gone up from 1.15 lakh to 3.05 lakh.
