Independence Day 2022 | Security agencies, including Delhi Police, are on alert on the intelligence alert of a terrorist attack in the midst of preparations to celebrate the 75th Independence Day in the country. In a 10-page intelligence report, it has been feared to explode by sticking magnet bombs (sticky bombs) on vehicles of security agencies, especially with the help of drones. Along with this, it has been said that infamous terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed are active.

In view of this, drones have been banned by deploying police everywhere. Intelligence units believe that terrorists can use magnet bombs. They can stick explosives like magnet bombs (sticky bombs) in the vehicle, which can be delivered with the help of drones. Following this alert, the Anti-Drone Detection System has been deployed at the Red Fort.

Also, in view of the possibility of a drone attack, the Delhi Police has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC along with a ban on flying things in the air. Under this, the ban on flying para-gliders, para-motors, hang gliders, UAVs, UAS, microlight aircraft, remotely operated aircraft, hot air balloons, small-sized battery-operated aircraft, quadcopters and para jumping will be applicable. There is a complete ban on the operation of drones around the Red Fort.

Special security arrangements here

Army posts, historical buildings, buildings of religious and economic importance, overcrowded markets, metro, railway stations, bus stands and airports can be particularly targeted by terrorists. The intelligence report has particularly emphasized on increasing the security of public places. Therefore, special arrangements have been made for the protection of major heritage and places.

As soon as the old iron bridge ends, people have to face scrutiny once again. Especially those who are entering Delhi from the border areas of Yamuna crossing and going to North Delhi, they are being re-examined. The road leading to Yamuna Bazar and Rajghat from here is being investigated by putting up barricades. In such a situation, if a person enters Delhi from the border of Ghaziabad, then he has to first pass through the investigation in the north-eastern district of Yamunapar. On the other hand, if he enters North Delhi via Loha Ka Pul, he is facing scrutiny for the second time here as well. Only after investigation is someone allowed to proceed.

Mall, market is getting entry only after investigation

In Vivek Vihar, policemen are investigating by putting up barricades outside the Cross River Shopping Mall located in Surajmal Vihar and the nearby market. Due to being a border area, people are being allowed here only after a strict check before coming towards Delhi. Also, there is a strict security check before entering the mall and at the main gate. Due to the barricades outside Surajmal Vihar Market, people are also facing traffic jam. Here the problem of traffic jam is increasing due to the vehicles parked on the side of the road.
