J&K Election 2024: Preparations for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are going on in full swing. All the major political parties are busy garnering support for their candidates, but this time Prime Minister Narendra Modi pointed to a new direction with his election rally in Doda. In his speech, PM Modi not only expressed concern over the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir, but also revealed his plans for its future.

PM Modi's inaugural speech: enthusiasm and trust of the public

Addressing an election rally held in Doda, PM Modi said, "You all have come here from different parts of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban. You have traveled for hours, but there is no fatigue on your faces. Seeing this zeal and enthusiasm, I will fulfill your trust with twice the hard work. Together we will build a safe and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir, and this is Modi's guarantee."

Target on familyism

In his speech, the Prime Minister also targeted the influence of familyism in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, "The elections in Jammu and Kashmir this time will decide the future of our state. Since independence, this state has been targeted by foreign forces. After this, nepotism started hollowing it out. The political parties you trusted did not care about your children. They only kept promoting their families, while your youth kept falling prey to terrorism."

Reform of Panchayat and local elections

PM Modi explained how Panchayat and BDC elections were not held since 2000. He said, "After coming to power in 2014, I tried to bring out the new leadership potential of the youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Panchayat elections were held in 2018, BDC elections were held in 2019, and DDC elections were held in 2020. All this was done so that the roots of democracy get strengthened and the youth come forward in politics."

Three dynasties vs. youth leadership

The Prime Minister described the assembly elections as a contest between three major dynasties and the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Targeting Congress, National Conference and PDP, he said, "These three families have ruined Jammu and Kashmir for decades. They encouraged corruption and ignored the capabilities of the youth here. Now a new leadership of youth is emerging in the elections, which has the ability to bring about change."

Guarantee of development in Jammu and Kashmir

PM Modi praised the development work done in Jammu and Kashmir and said, "The changes that have come in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 10 years are no less than a dream. Earlier, an undeclared curfew used to be imposed as soon as the day ended, but now the situation is changing. We are strengthening the connectivity and health services here through new railway lines and medical colleges."

Promotion of tourism and film industry

The Prime Minister also emphasized on the development of tourism and film industry in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, "We are bringing a new film policy so that filmmakers from not only the country but from all over the world can come here. Also, we are focusing on better connectivity to promote tourism."

Future plans and security

The Prime Minister also informed that the BJP government has announced free treatment up to Rs 7 lakh for poor families. Apart from this, plans are also underway to connect remote villages with essential services.

Conclusion

PM Modi's speech in Doda clearly shows how much the emphasis of politics has increased in the election environment. The Prime Minister has described the elections as not just a political competition, but a decisive moment for the future of Jammu and Kashmir. On the one hand, he criticized the politics of dynasty, and on the other hand talked about the new direction of the state through development and young leadership.

The future of Jammu and Kashmir will be decided with the voting process on September 18. The public has a chance to choose a new option for the development and prosperity of their state.
