Train Blast / Explosion in a train going from Rohtak to Delhi, fire caused commotion; many injured

A suspicious explosion in a train going from Rohtak to Delhi caused a fire in a bogie, in which four passengers were burnt. The incident took place near Sampla station. Initial investigation suggests the possibility of explosion due to sulphur-potash. Railway and police have started investigation, and a team has also arrived from Delhi.

Train Blast: A sudden explosion in a passenger train going from Rohtak to Delhi shocked all the passengers. This explosion happened under suspicious circumstances, due to which a bogie of the train caught fire. Four passengers were seriously burnt due to the accident, who were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital. As soon as the information was received, the railway and local police reached the spot and secured the entire area and started investigation.

Blast happened near Sampla

The incident happened near Sampla station. This passenger train left for Delhi from Rohtak railway station at around 4.20 pm. As soon as the train moved a little ahead of Sampla, a sudden loud explosion took place in a bogie. With the explosion, smoke spread in the train and there was a stampede. The train was immediately stopped and the driver informed the station master about the accident. At the same time, Sampla police also immediately swung into action and reached the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital.

Reason for the explosion: Sulphur and potash

Initial investigation has revealed that a passenger was travelling with sulphur and potash in polythene, which caused the explosion. Due to the fire, the bogie filled with smoke and the seats started burning. Other passengers present at the spot saw this scene and some also recorded a video of it, in which smoke and burnt seats can be clearly seen inside the bogie.

Bomb disposal team and FSL investigation from Delhi at the spot

The Railway Police immediately informed the bomb disposal squad and a special team from Delhi also reached the spot. Apart from this, the Forensic Science Lab (FSL) team also inspected the spot and collected necessary evidence. In the initial investigation, it is being speculated that the explosion occurred due to contact of sulphur and potash.

Police investigation continues, train dispatched

As soon as the information about the explosion was received, security was increased in the nearby railway station and Delhi. However, after a thorough inspection of the spot by the railway police and the investigation team, the train was sent to Delhi. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police is investigating every aspect and trying to ensure that such an accident does not happen in the future.

This incident has also raised questions on the safety standards in railways, especially when passengers are travelling with such dangerous material.
