Train Accident News: A major rail accident took place in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. Around 3 pm, about 12 coaches of Dibrugarh Express (15904) derailed. This express train was going from Chandigarh to Dibrugarh, when this accident happened. The accident happened three kilometers between Jhilahi and Motiganj railway stations of the district. At present, relief and rescue work is going on. Four passengers have died in the accident. At the same time, many are seriously injured. On receiving the information, the accident relief train has also been dispatched to the spot. All the senior railway officials are also reaching the spot.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also taken cognizance of the Dibrugarh train accident in Gonda. He has directed the district administration officials to reach the spot and expedite the relief work. CM Yogi has also instructed the officials to immediately take the injured to the hospital and provide them proper treatment. Along with this, he has also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. At present, officials of Gonda District Administration and Gorakhpur Railway Division are reaching the spot.

SDRF team left for the spot

At the same time, the CM office tweeted that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has been informed about the derailment of Dibrugarh-Chandigarh Express in Uttar Pradesh. He is monitoring the situation and the Assam government is in touch with the concerned officials. At the same time, to speed up the relief and rescue work, four SDRF teams from Lucknow, Balrampur, Shravasti and Siddharthnagar have been dispatched to Gonda. Gonda Police as well as Railway Police Force are present at the spot and are engaged in relief and rescue work.

AC coaches of Dibrugarh Express overturned

Photos and videos of the spot have also surfaced, in which it can be seen that the coaches that have overturned are AC coaches. In such a situation, if passengers are trapped inside them, then the number of injured and dead may also increase. At present, local people are also reaching the spot and helping the district administration and railway team in relief and rescue work. People are also being pulled out by breaking the glass windows of the AC coach. It can be seen in the video that passengers are being pulled out of the train and laid on the tracks.
