The timing of prayers in the city's mosques has been extended from half an hour to an hour. At the same time, Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahli, Imam of Islamic Center of India and Idgah, has appealed to take care of each other's religious sentiments and maintain peace and tranquility.

The timing of Juma prayers at Jama Masjid located at Aishbagh Idgah has been increased from 12:45 to 2 pm. Masjid Aishbagh, Medina Masjid of Chowk, Masjid Takwiatul Iman at Nadan Mahal Road, Hata Shakku Mian Masjid at Hasanganj at 2 o'clock, Masjid Shahmina Shah, Masjid Ek Minara at Akbari Gate, Masjid Anas at Kachha Bridge, Masjid Maawiya at Chaupatia, Garhi Kanaura Masjid Khajur Wali and Masjid Siddiqiya located, Masjid Qadir Khan at Talkatora, Masjid Chand Wali and Masjid Shekhul Alam at Madheganj, Masjid Khamdi at Eveready Square, Masjid Khamdi at Abrar Nagar Masjid Medina, Masjid Osmaniyan and Dor Wali Masjid at Daliganj, Masjid Ring Road and Khurramnagar The timing of Juma prayers at Masjid Fatimi at 1:30 and Masjid Takia Wali in Madheganj and Kapurthala Masjid in Aliganj has been extended to 1:45 pm.

Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahli, Imam of Idgah, said that to pay obeisance to the ancestors, go to the cemetery only after 5 pm. Appealed not to use fireworks in Shab-e-Barat and to offer Juma prayers in the Mohalla's mosque.
