West Bengal News: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has reacted strongly to the Bengal Bandh called by BJP. Describing the BJP as arrogant and corrupt, she alleged that central agencies were not sent to BJP-ruled states like UP and Rajasthan, while there is constant interference in Bengal.Mamata talked about accepting the full demands of the victim's family and promised to get the accused hanged. She said that no action would be taken against the doctors and expressed concern about their future. Mamata called the death penalty necessary to stop rape and alleged that the CBI did not take any concrete steps in 16 days.Mamata said that the assembly session will be called next week to pass a bill to ensure death penalty for rapists.
