The awards are announced every year on 23 January, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Award winning institution will be given a certificate and a cash prize of Rs.51 lakh will be given an additional cash prize of Rs.5 lakh with the individual being the winner.

In this regard, Madhya Pradesh's Sehore Collector Chandra Mohan Thakur, while giving information through his official Twitter, wrote that, 'The date of Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar has been extended till 30th September. The Government of India has instituted the said award to recognize the outstanding work done by individuals and institutions in the field of disaster management. Certificate and a cash prize of Rs.51 lakh will be received.

If the information is found to be wrong, there will be a ban for 3 years.
