A day after a north Indian hawker attacked an officer withinside the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) cutting her fingers, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Raj Thackeray on Tuesday warned that the hawker will be beaten up with the aid of using his party employees as soon as he's released from police custody.
“This can in no way be tolerated and we can now no longer allow this pass. They [hawkers] should understand that they'll now no longer escape. Once that guy is released from police custody, we will beat him,” stated Mr Thackeray. He wondered how all and sundry may even dare to do such an attack.
Kalpita Pimple, an Assistant Commissioner withinside the TMC, undertook a force towards unauthorised hawkers at the nighttime of August 30 whilst the hawker attacked her with a knife. She lost her fingers as she covered her head to keep it from the smite. She sustained injuries also on her head and the alternative hand. Her bodyguard also lost his finger.
