A 15-year-old teenager from a village in Kotwali area was studying in high school in a college in the city. On Wednesday night, he committed suicide by hanging himself in the room of the house. In the morning, the relatives informed the police after seeing the dead body hanging on the noose. Kotwali in-charge Balram Singh got a one-page suicide note from the spot.

On the complaint of the student's brother, the police have registered a case against Prem Kumar for molestation, intimidation, rape, abetment to suicide and under the POCSO Act. Superintendent of Police Sudha Singh said that the parents of the youth have been made co-accused. The body has been sent for post-mortem. The case is being investigated.
