A statement from the Ministry of Health said that some media reports had expressed concern that the vaccination could lead to infertility in men and women.

The ministry says that in the recent past, the issue was raised in media reports regarding the concern of frontline workers, superstition among healthcare workers and other things. Similar things had also come to the fore during polio and other vaccination drives.
