Hasan Nasrallah: After the recent pager and radio attack in Lebanon, Hezbollah chief Hasan Nasrallah has lashed out at Israel. Nasrallah has alleged that Israel has committed genocide in Lebanon and this action is akin to a declaration of war. He said, "Israel has crossed the red line by targeting civilians."

Israel's nefarious plan

According to Nasrallah, Israel deliberately targeted more than 4,000 pagers in Lebanon. He claims that the attack was not only on Hezbollah fighters, but also on hospitals, markets, homes and private vehicles. Thousands of women and children have been affected by this. He said, "Israel tried to kill thousands of people at once, which is a terrorist act and genocide."

Vow to resist

Nasrallah also made it clear that Hezbollah will not stop supporting Gaza. He warned Israel that it can do whatever it wants but it will not be able to send back displaced people from northern Israel. "We are not going to come to our knees," he said, showing that Hezbollah is firm in its resolve despite Israel's technological edge and the support of other superpowers, including the US.

Israel's failure

Nasrallah presented the attack as a failure of Israel. He says that if Israel's aim was to isolate Hezbollah from the events going on in Gaza, it has completely failed. He said, "The attack has strengthened Hezbollah, while Israel feels itself weakened."

Questions on security

Nasrallah acknowledged that the attack was a big blow to Lebanon's security. He said that committees have been formed on his behalf to investigate the matter, so that it can be clarified how the attack happened and what reasons made it possible.

Thus, Nasrallah's statement is not only a strong warning against Israel, but it also raises a big question mark over Lebanon's security and political situation. Only the future will tell what impact such attacks will have in Lebanon, but Hezbollah's resolve is clear—they will go to any lengths to defend their land.
