PSLV-C56: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has achieved another major success. ISRO launched PSLV-C56 with six co-passenger satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC) Saar, Sriharikota. This is the 58th flight of PSLV. This is a completely commercial mission, which is being operated by NewSpace India Limited. The 360-kg DS-SAR satellite has been developed with Singapore government agency DSTA and Singapore-based company ST Engineering. It carries a synthetic aperture radar payload developed by Israel Aerospace Industries, which is capable of taking pictures in all weather conditions.
What did ISRO say?On this mission, ISRO said that the mission has been successfully completed. Rest of the co-passenger satellites including PSLV-C56 have been accurately launched into their intended orbits.Launching took place at 6.30 amISRO did this launching at 6.30 am today. This flight of PSLV is the 58th overall and the 17th flight using the core alone configuration. The upper stage of the rocket will be placed in a lower orbit after injecting all the satellites to ensure its short orbital life.According to ISRO, PSLV-C56 was launched from the First Launch Pad (FLP) at the Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC) in Sriharikota.The DS-SAR satellite is developed under a partnership between DSTA (representing the Government of Singapore) and ST Engineering.
