Akhilesh Yadav News: Samajwadi Party (SP) has taken an important strategic decision in the context of Haryana assembly elections. SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav has announced that his party will support the India Alliance instead of directly entering the electoral fray. Akhilesh said that winning the election is more important than the number of seats and hence the SP is renouncing its claims. This announcement has been made at a time when the Congress party is in talks with other allies regarding seat sharing.

The SP was earlier planning to contest at least 10 seats out of 90 assembly seats in Haryana and had also approached the Congress for this. Akhilesh Yadav said that the unity of the India Alliance is capable of defeating the divisive politics of the BJP in Haryana. He also told that the goal of the SP is not only to win seats, but to liberate the people of Haryana from the negative politics of the BJP.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Bhupinder Hooda had last week refused to give seats to the SP, but the Congress high command has issued orders in the direction of taking the allies together. This initiative of SP will strengthen the unity of the alliance and will help in challenging BJP in Haryana. Congress will soon officially announce seat sharing with SP and other parties.

SP was preparing to contest elections on 10 seats

SP was preparing to contest elections on at least 10 out of 90 seats of Haryana Assembly. The party had also contacted Congress for this. After winning 37 seats in UP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, SP has been trying to expand its base in other states.

Through expansion in other states, the Samajwadi Party is eyeing to achieve national status.

Akhilesh said - victory is more important than seats

SP President Akhilesh Yadav has written in a post that the unity of India alliance in Haryana elections is capable of writing a new history. We have said many times and are repeating it once again and will repeat in future also that it is not a matter of seats but of victory.

Akhilesh further said that whichever party of India Alliance is capable of defeating the negative, communal, divisive politics of BJP, which is against the development and harmony of Haryana, we will join the power of our organization and supporters with it.

According to the SP supremo, the question in Haryana elections is not about fielding candidates on two-four seats. It is about understanding the pain and suffering of the people and freeing them from the corrupt politics of manipulation of BJP. Along with this, it is about the true development of Haryana and the welfare of the people. In the last 10 years, BJP has pushed the development of Haryana back by twenty years.

This is the time of sacrifice for the opposition parties

Akhilesh Yadav, while advising the allied parties, said that this is not the time to find one's political possibilities but it is the time of sacrifice and self-denial. There is no place for selfishness on the path of public welfare. Cunning and selfish people can never make their name in history.

He further said that this moment is a historic opportunity to rise above oneself to defeat the politics of such people. We are ready to make every sacrifice for the welfare of Haryana with a big heart.

Hooda had said - will not give seat to Akhilesh

Last week, senior Congress leader and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda had said that SP is not a part of India Alliance, so there is no question of giving it a seat. However, the Congress high command ordered the state unit to take allies along, after which the party started talking to parties like SP and AAP on seat sharing.

It is being said that Samajwadi Party may get 1-2 seats to contest in Haryana under the alliance. Soon an official announcement will be made by the Congress.
