Bollywood Desk: Kangana Ranaut and controversies go hand in hand and there are no second thoughts about it. While the Tanu Weds Manu actress is known for making bold statements every now and then, she often lands into a legal scoop. In fact, several cases have been filed against Kangana in Mumbai in several matters. And while the cases are going on, the Queen actress has sought the transfer of all criminal cases against her and sister Rangoli Chandel from Mumbai to Shimla.

To note, these cases include criminal defamation complaint filed against Kangana by Javed Akhtar along with case filed against the actress and her sister Rangoli for their offensive tweets hurting religious sentiments and promoting enmity between religious groups and public mischief. According to ANI, the actress has moved to Supreme Court seeking the transfer of cases. “Actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel have moved the Supreme Court seeking transfer of criminal cases pending against them in various courts of Mumbai to Shimla in Himachal Pradesh,” ANI had tweeted. It is also reported that Kangana and Rangoli had claimed that the cases filed against them were filed with malicious intent to malign their image.

Furthermore, the Ranaut sisters have also asserted that they have a threat to their life and property if the trails are conducted in Mumbai and also alleged harassment at the instance of Shiv Sena. “It is pertinent to mention that the Maharashtra government led by Shiv Sena has been harassing the petitioners,” the plea stated.

Meanwhile, speaking about the work front, Kangana has some interesting movies in the pipeline which include Dhaakad and Tejas. Besides, she will be next seen in J Jayalalithaa’s biopic Thalaivi, which is slated to release on April 23 this year.
