Cricket | India had to face defeat at the hands of England in the fifth test match played at Edgbaston. India were leading 2-1 before this rescheduled Test match, but losing the last match, Team India lost their chance to win the series. In such a situation, former India fast bowler Karsan Ghavri has named the three players who should be replaced from the Test team.

Karsan Ghavri said that due to the inconsistent performances of players like Hanuma Vihari, Shardul Thakur and Shubman Gill, now is the time to look beyond them. All three players were part of India's playing XI in that match and all three of them performed poorly in the Test match. Shardul could take a wicket in both the innings, while Gill and Vihari could not score big in both the innings.

Regarding the form of Gill, Thakur and Vihari, Ghavri said on Sportskeeda, “I think the time has come to look beyond Hanuma Vihari and Shardul Thakur. Shubman Gill has good prospects for the future, but where is his consistency? " Not only this, Karsan Ghavri has also told the replacement of these three players.

The former pacer has picked Sarfaraz Khan and Suryakumar Yadav as possible replacements for Vihari and Gill. After his rich exploits in white-ball cricket, Suryakumar has been knocking on the doors of red-ball cricket for quite some time now. He was even included as a backup in the Test series last year.

Sarfaraz Khan, on the other hand, has been at his best in the Ranji Trophy. He said, “Sarfaraz Khan and Suryakumar Yadav need to be included in the Test team at the earliest. He is the future star of Indian cricket. Our next Test series is against Bangladesh in November. Don't think they are weak. We have to play our best players against them."
