Amit Shah News: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday released the book 'J&K and Ladakh Through the Ages' in New Delhi and discussed in detail the historical, cultural and national importance of Kashmir. He highlighted the historical depths of the name and culture of Kashmir and called it the foundation of Indian culture.

Kashmir: Root of Indian culture

Amit Shah said that the name of Kashmir can be associated with Rishi Kashyap. He referred to historical evidence like Shankaracharya, Silk Route and Hemish Monastery and called it the basis of Indian culture. Sufi, Buddhist and Shail monasteries enriched the culture of Kashmir, which makes it clear that Kashmir has always played an important role in the cultural upliftment of India.

Preservation of local languages

Shah expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that languages like Kashmiri, Dogri, Balti and Jhankari have been given the approval of the government. He said that this reflects the vision of PM Modi in which preserving local languages and cultures is a priority.

Article 370 and 35A: A historic decision

Amit Shah described Article 370 and 35A as a wall between India and Kashmir. He said that these sections sowed the seeds of separatism among the youth and promoted terrorism in Kashmir. But, the Modi government ended this tainted chapter and paved the way for development in Kashmir.

Cultural boundaries of India

He said that India is the only country in the world whose boundaries are determined on the basis of cultural traditions. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Gandhar to Odisha, India's diversity is a proof of its cultural unity.

History and contribution of Ladakh

Shah mentioned in the book the temples demolished in Ladakh and Kashmir, the use of Sanskrit language, and the process of mistakes and correction after independence. He said that the history of India should not be written from Lutyens Delhi, but on the basis of evidence and truth.

Pride and future of Kashmir

Amit Shah said that Kashmir is not only a part of India but is an integral part of its soul. He reiterated Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee's slogan that Kashmir's cultural glory will be restored.

Preservation of rich history

Finally, he urged the country's historians to rewrite India's history based on evidence. He said Kashmir's history and culture is a symbol of India's cultural unity.

This book not only brings out the historical facts of Kashmir and Ladakh, but also shows how deeply Kashmir is embedded in the heart of India. Amit Shah's message was clear: Kashmir's cultural glory is an integral part of India's past, present and future.
