Maharashtra New CM: The people of Maharashtra have handed over power to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti alliance by giving it a huge majority. The results of the recently concluded assembly elections have clearly gone in favor of the Mahayuti. The Mahayuti has demonstrated its dominance by capturing 230 seats in the 288-seat assembly. After this unprecedented victory, the process of forming a new government in Maharashtra has now accelerated.

Decision will be taken on the CM post

After the election results, the next challenge of the Mahayuti is to reach a consensus on the post of Chief Minister. For this, separate meetings of the MLAs of BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) included in the Mahayuti are going to be held. The leaders of the legislative party will be selected in these meetings. It is believed that the name of the Chief Minister will be announced after the joint meeting of the MLAs of all the parties.

In the recent online meeting of Shiv Sena, the party has given full authority to take the decision to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. At the same time, brainstorming is also going on among the top leadership of BJP and NCP.

The activity of MLAs increased in Mumbai

All the MLAs of the Mahayuti have been instructed to reach Mumbai. A big meeting will be held in Mumbai, where the leader of the legislative party will be elected. Apart from this, there will also be separate meetings of the MLAs of BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP. After these meetings, the three major leaders of the Mahayuti will have a meeting with the national leadership of the BJP, which will take the final decision on the post of Chief Minister.

Maha Vikas Aghadi suffers a crushing defeat

The opposition alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has suffered a crushing defeat in this election. The strength of Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction), and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) was reduced to 46 seats. Congress won only 16 seats, while Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) got 20 seats. Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) had to be content with just 10 seats.

Historic success of Mahayuti

This time the election results have given an unprecedented lead to the Mahayuti. BJP further strengthened its dominant role in the alliance by winning 132 seats. Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) won 57 seats and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) won 41 seats. These results clearly show that the people of Maharashtra have expressed faith in the promises of development and stability of the Mahayuti.
