Mahindra Thar RWD Waiting Period: In the year 2020, Mahindra launched its Thar SUV in a new avatar. The vehicle has received a great response from the customers since its launch. The Thar is considered a powerful lifestyle vehicle because of its 4X4 feature. However, the company has recently launched its RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) version as well. The price of this new version starts from Rs. 9.99 lakhs.

Now as soon as it comes in the market, the charm of this new Thar has started showing. Even after having only rear wheel drive, customers are in a rush to buy this SUV. The new Thar SUV has been introduced in 3 trim levels with petrol and diesel engine options.

Now according to media reports, the waiting period for the Thar RWD diesel version is around 16-18 months. However, the waiting period for the petrol version is only three months. That is, if you are planning to buy this new Thar, then take a decision only after seeing the waiting period.

The Mahindra Thar RWD is offered with two engine options. The first engine is a 1.5-litre diesel (117bhp and 300Nm) sourced from the Mahindra XUV300. It is being sold with a manual transmission. It will be available in the cheapest variant of Thar. While the second engine is 2.0 liter TGDI petrol engine (150bhp and 320Nm). It comes with automatic transmission.
