Pakistan News: Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has also admitted that minorities are not safe in his country. Khawaja Asif said that in Pakistan people are being targeted in the name of religion and violence is being done and the country has failed to protect them. This is a matter of concern. According to the report of news agency ANI, speaking in the National Assembly on Monday, Khawaja Asif said, "Minorities are being killed almost every day in Pakistan. They are not safe under the shadow of Islam. I want to address the issue of safety of minorities but the opposition is creating obstacles. Pakistan is being defamed all over the world because of this."

Even sects associated with Islam are not safe

The Defense Minister said that despite protection by the Constitution, even small sects associated with Islam are not safe. This is a shameful situation. He talked about passing a resolution regarding the safety of minorities in the National Assembly.

Asif said that this problem is not coming in any one state but in different parts of the country. Many people were killed who had nothing to do with blasphemy. But they were killed due to personal animosity.

The Defense Minister said that the Ahmadiya community is facing the most problems. They have to face everything from hate speech to violent attacks. They are targeted across the country just for their faith. Similarly, people of the Christian community also have to face persecution in the name of employment, education and blasphemy.

Defense Minister said - Minorities also have the right to live in the country

Khwaja Asif said that we should ensure the safety of our minority brothers and sisters. They have as much right to live in this country as the majority. Pakistan belongs to all Pakistanis, whether they are Muslims, Christians, Sikhs or of any other religion. Our Constitution guarantees full security to minorities.

According to the report of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Sikhs, Hindus and other minorities are facing forced conversions, kidnappings, murders and attacks on religious places.

Pakistan has the world's strictest blasphemy law. Here, insulting the Quran or the Prophet can lead to life imprisonment to death penalty. However, despite the death sentence, no one has been hanged in the country.
