In Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted 'Griha Pravesam' for 5 lakh 21 thousand families. The houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were given to the beneficiaries through a virtual program. It is worth noting that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana launched by the Central Government in June 2015, a target has been set to provide houses to the poor. Under which housing has been provided to crores of people across the country so far.So far, Rs 1,97,000 crore has been spent on PM Awas Yojana Gramin, of which Rs 1,44,162 crore has been borne by the central government. The period of PM Awas Yojana has been extended by the Modi cabinet and for this more than Rs 2,17,257 crore has been approved, in which the total expenditure of the central government will be around Rs 1,44,000 crore.Center extended the duration of the schemeThe government's target was that there is a need to provide pucca houses to two crore 63 lakh people in the country. Under the scheme, by March 2022, about two crore 5 lakh houses have been built across the country. In order to provide pucca houses to all the poor families, the government has extended the period of PM Awas Yojana till the year 2024.They will get the benefit of PM Awas YojanaFinancially weak people.- Low-income citizens.- Middle class people.Big things of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was launched in the month of June 2015.The target of constructing 2.63 crore houses is under the scheme.2.5 crore houses have been given to the poor across the country so far.- Rs 1.97 lakh crore has been spent in the scheme so far.The duration of the scheme has been extended from 2022 to 2024.The Center has sanctioned Rs 2.17 lakh crore more for this scheme.Rs 1.20 lakh is given for construction of houses in urban and Rs 1.30 lakh in rural areas.Many countries around the world give pucca houses to the poor- Belgium- Chile- Netherlands- Mexico- Spain
