He himself admits that he chose the Gorakhnath temple as the right place for the attack. It is telling that he did auto to come to Gorakhpur and told him to drop me at Gorakhnath temple. He is clearly saying that I thought that I will do my work here and my work will also be completed, because I knew that there would be policemen here.

According to the information, Murtaza is also telling in the video that whatever he did was going on in his mind. He also said that whatever he was doing, he was justifying things in his mind. That is, it seemed to Murtaza that whatever he was doing, he was doing right. He expected that he would be killed after attacking the temple. However, the opposite happened and he was caught. Murtaza is also telling the motive of the attack on Gorakhnath temple in the video.

There was anger over NRC, CAA and Hijab

In the video, Murtaza is referring to the alleged atrocities against Muslims in Karnataka, from the Hijab issue to the NRC, CAA and elsewhere. He says that he got angry seeing all this and attacked the security personnel posted at Gorakhnath temple. He told the officers of the investigating agencies that for this someone or the other would have to come forward. He said that he used to get angry after seeing the alleged atrocities on Muslims. He seems to be so surrounded by his radical ideas that he is even explaining the meaning of his words.

The four-minute video was released on Telegram on March 25. The masked terrorists present in it claim to have four sleeper cells in India. The language of the video is extremely inflammatory. It shows indigenous weapons, including the banka, which Murtaza carried when he attacked the Gorakhnath temple.

After this video went viral, Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that the facts mentioned in the video are being investigated.
