This meeting is taking place at a time when the Central Government has formed a committee regarding 'One Nation, One Election'. A special session of Parliament has been called for five days. There is a possibility that during this time the government can introduce the bill in the parliament. There is a stir among the opposition parties regarding this. Opposition leaders are calling 'One Nation, One Election' a conspiracy. In a conversation before the meeting of opposition leaders, Shiv Sena leader of Uddhav Thackeray faction Sanjay Raut said that 'One Nation, One Election' is a conspiracy to push the elections. Whenever it happens, we are always ready. The decision of One Nation-One Election is anti-constitutional – Swami MauryaRegarding One Nation-One Election, National General Secretary of Samajwadi Party Swami Prasad Maurya has said that its decision is anti-constitutional. This is a malicious attempt by the government to establish monarchy by killing democracy. I strongly condemn this decision of the government. Everyone should unite to save democracy, if you remain careless then the Constitution will be changed.

There was a stir among the opposition leaders on the issue of 'One Nation, One Election'. A special session of Parliament has been called from 18-22 September to discuss this issue.
