Many states of the country have spoken about the shortage of this medicine, including Madhya Pradesh. Now a case of selling fake Remedesivir injection has come to light in Madhya Pradesh. Indore Police Crime Branch on Thursday arrested the owner of a drug company in this case.

The arrested person is Vinay Shankar Tripathi, a resident of Rani Bagh area of ​​Indore.

ASP, Crime Branch Guru Prasad Parashar said, 'About 400 vials of Remedesvir have been found from the car of the accused. In the investigation conducted by the drug department, these injections turned out to be fake. The accused owns a pharmaceutical company in Pithampur, Indore. The accused thought of earning money by taking advantage of the shortage of medicine.

The police officer said that this fake drug was made in the Pharma Unit of Himachal Pradesh.

The accused has been booked under various sections including cheating. Counterfeit injections were to be sold in the market for around Rs 20 lakhs.
