PM Modi Nagpur : Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of 520 km long Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samridhi Mahamarg in Nagpur. Modi was welcomed here by playing drums. Modi reached among the artists and also played the dhol with them.
Modi also started Metro service in Nagpur. After the inauguration of the metro station, he took a metro ride with the students. The students also interacted with PM Modi. Earlier, he had first flagged off the Vande Bharat train from Nagpur railway station. This is the sixth Vande Bharat train of the country. This train will run between Nagpur to Raipur.
The PM had reached Nagpur airport on Saturday morning. Here Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis welcomed him. Modi started projects worth 75 thousand crores in Maharashtra. After this he inaugurated AIIMS Nagpur. From here PM Modi will go to Goa, where he will inaugurate Mopa International Airport.
Inaugurated the 520 km long Samruddhi Mahamarg in Nagpur.The first phase of the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway has been completed. The 6-lane expressway has been named 'Samruddhi Mahamarg'. PM Modi inaugurated the first phase of the 520 km long Samridhi Mahamarg connecting Nagpur and Shirdi. This expressway will pass through 10 districts of North Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Marathwada.
On completion of the second phase, the length will be 701 km. The cost is 55 thousand crore rupees. This will help in the development of 24 districts. It will be connected to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, Ajanta-Ellora Caves, Shirdi, Verul, Lonar tourist places. It is one of the longest expressways in India. It is a big step towards realizing the Prime Minister's dream of better connectivity and basic infrastructure across the country.
Two metro trains flagged off in NagpurThe Prime Minister flagged off two metro trains – Khapri to Automotive Square (Orange Line) and Prajapati Nagar to Lokmanya Nagar (Aqua Line) at Khapri Metro Station in Nagpur. The first phase of Nagpur Metro has been built at a cost of more than Rs 8,000 crore. PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of Nagpur Metro Phase-2 built at a cost of about Rs 6700 crore.
PM Modi will go to Goa after NagpurAfter Maharashtra, PM Modi will inaugurate the Mopa International Airport in Goa built at a cost of Rs 2,870 crore. PM Modi had laid the foundation stone of this airport in 2016. This will be the second airport in Goa. The first airport is located in Dabolim. The annual capacity of the airport in the first phase is 44 lakh passengers. Whereas on completion of the project, its total capacity will be 10 million passengers annually.
