Bollywood | The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a case against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra in connection with an alleged porn racket that surfaced last year. The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police had arrested Raj Kundra on July 20 in this case.

Prior to Raj Kundra's arrest in July, Mumbai Police had arrested five people in the case in February. Aspiring models and actors were promised film roles and asked to do these pornographic films.

The shooting took place in rented bungalows or apartments near Aksa in Mud Island or Malad. During the shooting, the accused used to ask the actresses to shoot for a different script and also asked them to shoot nude scenes. If an actress refused, she was allegedly threatened and then asked to pay the cost of shooting.

The shot clips would be uploaded to applications that were subscription-based and the subscribers had to pay to view the content and the subscriber had to pay a certain amount to view the content.

As the Mumbai Police continued its investigation into the pornography movies case, they came to know about the involvement of Hotshots. Further investigation revealed that Raj Kundra's firm, Viaan had an agreement with UK-based firm Kenrin, which had the Hotshots app. The firm was owned by Raj Kundra's brother-in-law in Britain. The Hotshots app was used to upload pornographic clips.
