Rajasthan News: The famous 'Khatu Shyamji Mandir' located in Sikar district of Rajasthan has been closed for the general public for the time being to improve the arrangements and take better measures for crowd management. The doors of the temple have been closed for darshan from 10 pm on Sunday till further orders. Shree Shyam Mandir Committee President Shambhu Singh said that in order to make proper arrangements for darshan for the devotees, the temple has been completely closed for darshan from 10 pm on November 13 till further orders. He appealed to the devotees to reach the temple for darshan only after further orders.There was a stampede in AugustSignificantly, on August 8, three women were killed in a stampede outside the temple. Recently, in order to strengthen the measures of crowd management, a meeting of Sikar District Collector Amit Yadav, Superintendent of Police Kunwar Rashtradeep and temple committee officials was held regarding the improvement and expansion of facilities in Khatu town. As per the decision taken in the meeting, the temple has been closed for public. Now works like covering the fair ground with sheds, making permanent queue system in the ground and making better arrangements for entry and exit in the temple will be done.Devotees reach in lakhsKhatu Shyamji Temple has great recognition across the country. About 20 to 25 thousand devotees visit Khatu Shyamji Temple on normal days, while on holidays and Ekadashi the number increases to more than one lakh. An annual fair is held at Khatu Shyamji Temple in Phagun, which is attended by lakhs of devotees.
