Technical | The world's largest social media company Meta has been declared a terrorist and radical organization by Russia. The news agency Reuters gave this information in its report and told that Russia is unhappy due to the support Ukraine is getting on social media.

In March, Russia's government blocked social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for its citizens after the war with Ukraine broke out at the beginning of the year. Now a Moscow court has claimed that Mark Zuckerberg's company Meta is involved in radical activities.

Russia made serious allegations against Meta

A Moscow court has ruled that Meta's platforms are allowing social media users to share content that promotes violence against the Russian people. Russia says that Meta is doing this in Ukraine and is working to incite sentiments.

Meta denies these allegations

The social media company's lawyer vehemently refuted the allegations and told the court that his company has never been a part of any radical activity. The lawyer said that those who spread hatred or fear against Russia have never got the support of META.

Russia was trying to control social media

With the start of the war against Ukraine, Russia began trying to control social media. Indeed, there was huge support for Ukraine on social media platforms. This is the reason why Russia banned these platforms. After this, social platforms also started blocking posts and media sponsored by the Russian government.
