Indian Overseas Congress: Senior Congress leader Sam Pitroda, who is often in controversies, is once again in the news. In fact, the Congress party has once again made Sam Pitroda the president of the Indian Overseas Congress. Pitroda's appointment has been done with immediate effect. Let us tell you that during the last Lok Sabha elections, there was a lot of uproar over Sam Pitroda's controversial statements. After this, he resigned from his post. However, just a few days after the election results came out, Sam Pitroda has once again returned to his post.

People from the Northeast were described as Chinese

Sam Pitroda had given a strange statement about the people of different regions of India during the elections. While discussing the diversity of India, he compared South Indian people to Africans and Northeast Indian people to Chinese people. Pitroda has also said that people from Western India look like Arabs. Whereas, people in the North look like whites.

Congress had distanced itself from the controversial statements made by Sam Pitroda. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh had said that the analogies given by Sam Pitroda to India's diversity are absolutely wrong, unfortunate and unacceptable. He had said that Congress completely disassociates itself from these analogies and refutes them.

Advised inheritance tax too

Congress think tank and Indian Overseas Congress president Sam Pitroda had advocated taxing inherited property in India. He had said that there is such a law in America. Sam had said that in America any person can transfer 45 percent of his property to his children. The government takes 55 percent. Pitroda said that you have created wealth for your generation. You should leave your property for the public, not the whole, but half, which I think is appropriate. He said that there is no such law in India but such a rule should be made here too.
