MP Swati Maliwal raised questions

MP Swati Maliwal has raised questions about this incident. She said, 'Who will take responsibility for the death of three students due to drowning in the basement in the capital? It is being told that the students were repeatedly demanding to clean the drain for ten days, but no action was taken. How can illegal basements run without corruption? How are extra floors laid? How is it possible that roads and drains are encroached without taking money?'

He said, 'It is clear that there is no need to follow any safety rules, pay money, the work is done. Just keep holding important press conferences sitting in an AC room every day. No one is ready to work on the ground. Didn't you learn anything from the death due to electric shock in Patel Nagar a few days ago?'

What did the police say

The police officer said that the water is filled due to water logging, there was heavy rain late in the evening, all rescue operations have been started. Search operation, rescue operation is going on. Many difficulties are being faced. It is taking time to drain out the water. The team is trying its best. So far, the body of a girl has been found. You people are appealed not to become an obstacle in the rescue operation.

How did the accident happen?

Investigation has revealed that there was a library in the basement. There were usually 30 to 35 children in the library. Suddenly the basement started filling with water rapidly. The students stood on the benches in the basement. The glass in the basement started bursting due to the pressure of water. The children were taken out with the help of ropes. The library closes at 7 pm and the accident also happened at this time.

Atishi talked about investigation

Delhi government minister Atishi Singh posted on social media platform X and informed about the incident and talked about investigation. She wrote, "There is news of an accident due to heavy rain in Delhi in the evening. There is news of water filling in the basement of a coaching institute in Rajendra Nagar. Delhi Fire Department and NDRF are on the spot. Delhi Mayor and local MLA are also there. I am taking news of the incident every minute. Orders have been given for a magistrate investigation of how this incident happened. Whoever is responsible for this incident will not be spared."

Swati Maliwal wrote that accountability should be fixed for this. He wrote, "A UPSC student died in Rajendra Nagar area due to drowning after water filled in the basement. This incident is very unfortunate and sad. Can't even imagine what this child's family must go through. Just a few days ago, a student died due to electric shock in Patel Nagar. Accountability should be fixed for this incident. Those guilty of negligence should be punished."

Bansuri Swaraj accuses AAP government

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva is at the accident site with MP Bansuri Swaraj. Sachdeva has said that this is clearly an accident caused due to lack of cleaning of drains and it is a case of drain water backflowing very fast into the basement of the coaching center. The criminal negligence of the Delhi government is responsible for this accident. Water Board Minister Atishi and local MLA Durgesh Pathak should take responsibility and resign. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has said that it is very sad that even after about 4 hours of the accident, the concerned minister Atishi has not reached the accident site in Old Rajendra Nagar. Instead of coming to the accident site and working for the relief of the victims, the minister is sitting at home and doing only paperwork. Her doing so shows the insensitivity and inhumanity of not only minister Atishi but the entire government. She has not come to the accident site till 11.40 pm.
